The Chron.com a Houston area publication has compiled and produced a database calculating the salary (including bonuses, overtime, car allowance, etc) of every city worker.  Wow, well done Chron.com.  The paper breaks down the top 25 earners, the top 25 overtime earners, most if not all of the overtime workers are Police.  This makes sense.  Who wants to be a Police Officer?

As a tax payer I think this type of information should be public.  We’re paying their salary.  Don’t like it? Go work somewhere else that gives you the pay, benefits, pension (yeah they still get that) and security that City, State and Federal Government provide.
